Hello, My name is Dr. Ankit Chander, and I am a primary care physician practicing integrative medicine. I am here to make a difference in the lives of people by combining integrative approaches with traditional practices to give personalized whole person care.
I trained in medicine at Johns Hopkins, and had planned to be a conventional medical doctor. Shortly after I completed my residency, I experienced hip pain and was told I needed orthopedic surgery. I didn’t really want surgery, so for two years I just lived with the pain until a friend introduced me to integrative medicine. Through a combination of therapies, I not only avoided surgery, I have now been pain free for a decade.
Amazed by my experience, I entered the world of integrative medicine, and completed further training in nutrition, hormone therapy, and acupuncture, just to name a few.
I look forward to the opportunity to serve you. Until then, I wish you hope, health and healing.
